README.md

Root intro

Single line "Books" — very shallow; could describe repo as SDE-3 DSA prep and link to SUMMARY, DSA_REPO_AUDIT, SDE3_DSA_ROADMAP.

SUMMARY.md

Navigation / TOC

Good; lists Books, SDE-3 Guide, Audit, Roadmap, Foundations, Patterns, Advanced DSA, Concurrency, 30-day, Languages.

DSA_REPO_AUDIT.md

Repo-wide DSA audit

Comprehensive; topics covered/missing, shallow spots, advanced gaps, weak problem coverage.

SDE3_DSA_ROADMAP.md

Practice roadmap

Problem order, weekly plan, mock strategy, checklist.

Gaps: Root README is minimal; consider adding 2–3 sentences and links to Audit + Roadmap + Foundations.

Concurrency patterns

Good depth: Producer-Consumer (BoundedBuffer with Condition), FooBar (Semaphore), Reader-Writer Lock. Checklist: deadlock, starvation, mutex vs semaphore, condition variables. Code in Python.

foundations/

File
Purpose
Audit

README.md

Folder intro

Gaps: algorithms/README could list every topic file (including union-find, recursion, dynamic-programming). Sorting, divide-and-conquer, maths, recursion (README + aditya-verma), miscellaneous, and dp-aditya-verma were not expanded to the full SDE-3 template (Concept Overview → Core → Advanced → Problems → Pattern Recognition → Code → SDE-3 Thinking → Interview Strategy → Quick Revision). Optional: add that structure to sorting, divide-and-conquer, maths, and recursion for consistency.

languages/

File
Purpose
Audit

README.md

Languages overview

Three lines: Python, Java. Minimal.

Gaps: README could list the java/ subfolder and state that content is language-learning notes (supplementary to DSA).

languages/java/

File
Purpose
Audit

README.md

Java folder intro

Single word "Java". Minimal.

book.md

Java book notes

Long (2500+ lines): chapters on computers, programs, Java, hardware, software, OOP. Book-summary style; not DSA.

head-first-java.md

Head First Java notes

Long (2100+ lines): chapters on Java intro, structure, statements. Book-summary style; not DSA.

Gaps: README could list book.md and head-first-java.md as Java learning notes. Content is language/coding basics, not SDE-3 DSA; no change required for DSA audit, but folder is audited for completeness.

30-day/

File
Purpose
Audit

README.md

30-day plan overview

Good: Full 30-day plan (Week 1–4), day-by-day topics (data structures, graphs, DP, backtracking, greedy, mocks, etc.). Targets "SDE2 coding interviews at Google". Additional resources (books, LeetCode, etc.).

week-1/README.md

Week 1

Single line "Week 1". Minimal.

week-1/day-1-...

Day 1: Basic DS

Arrays, linked lists, stacks, queues with definitions, properties, examples. Beginner/SDE-1 level.

week-1/day-2-...

Day 2: Array problems

(Not read in full; assumed similar depth.)

week-1/day-3-...

Day 3: Linked list

(Assumed.)

week-1/day-4-...

Day 4: Stack and queue

(Assumed.)

week-1/day-5-...

Day 5: Hash tables

(Assumed.)

week-1/day-7-...

Day 7: Tree traversal

(Assumed.)

week-1/page-3.md

Day 6: Trees basics

Tree terminology, binary tree, BST. Filled as "page 3" (Day 6 content). Good for beginners.

week-2/README.md

Week 2

Single line "Week 2". Minimal.

week-2/day-8 through day-14

BST, heaps, graphs, DP

Day 12 sample: DP intro, memoization vs tabulation, Fibonacci code. Beginner/SDE-1 level; useful but not SDE-3 depth.

week-3/README.md

Week 3

Single line "Week 3". Minimal.

week-3/day-15 through day-21

Backtracking, greedy, recursion, bit, graphs, mocks

Day 15 sample: backtracking steps, N-Queens. Beginner/SDE-1 level.

week-4/README.md

Week 4

Single line "Week 4". Minimal.

week-4/day-22 through day-28

Problem-solving, timed practice, patterns, mocks, revision, relaxation

Day 25 sample: patterns (sliding window, two pointers, etc.) with code. Useful; still more SDE-1/2 than SDE-3.

week-4/ay-24-...

Day 24 (typo)

Google-specific questions. (Filename typo: "ay" vs "day".)

Gaps:

  • Week READMEs (week-1 through week-4) are one-line; could add 1–2 sentences and list the day files.

  • 30-day content is SDE-1/2 oriented; not wrong, but SDE-3 prep should also use foundations/* (SDE-3 expanded) and SDE3_DSA_ROADMAP. Consider adding a note in 30-day/README: "For SDE-3 depth, use foundations topic files and SDE3_DSA_ROADMAP.md."

  • Missing days: Day 6 is in page-3.md; Day 29 and Day 30 are in the plan text but may not have dedicated files (need to confirm). From glob: day-28 exists; no day-29 or day-30 files found — gap: two days in plan without files.

  • Filename typo: ay-24-focus-on-google-specific-questions.md could be day-24-... for consistency.
